Portals in the Peaks: The Mysterious Disappearances of Erik Lewis and Carl Landers
Episode 158
Wednesday, 19 November, 2025
After hearing from friend of the show, Thom Pollard, and being told about an abandoned campsite found not too far from me, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, I decided to cover two Missing 411 cases that have fascinated me for 15 years. Our first case takes place in Washington State and involves a climber who seemingly disappeared from the end of a climbing rope, almost as though he unclipped and stepped out into the sky. The second case involves a climber in California who vanished in broad daylight from the middle of an empty snow field on one of America's most mysterious Mountains.
