We talk about how this book came about and its purpose as an introductory book that does not skimp on the details while still making sure not to overwhelming the reader. Charles has spent over 10 years in the wine business primarily as an educator but has also worked in retail doing just about every job there is from sales person to wine buyer to manager. His background as a journalist has given him a unique perspective on the topic of wine and a developed and mature voice for a first time author.
