Season 23: Angelology | #6 – Worthy of All PraiseNEW! Watch us ONLINE! Click here!SHOW NOTES:In this season on Angelology, we are pulling back the curtain, as much as Scripture allows, on the unseen world God created alongside our own. We serve a God of order and design. From the very first page of Scripture, Genesis 1 shows us a Creator who doesn't work in chaos — He speaks light from darkness, separates the waters, sets the sun and moon on their courses, and calls it good. Every act of creation reflects His purpose, His harmony, His plan. And that same order extends beyond what we can see with our eyes.Last time, we met Michael — the archangel named in Jude 9 and Revelation 12:7, a warrior who contends for God's people. We also looked at the Chief Princes described in Daniel 10 and got our first glimpse of just how structured and purposeful the angelic realm really is. Nothing about it is random. Nothing about it is an afterthought. So that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.Ephesians 3:10 According to tradition, there are nine “choirs of Angels” grouped into three "hierarchies," with each group having an overall mission. This type of angelic organization is argued for by St. Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologiae. The top hierarchy includes Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones. This first hierarchy of angels is closest to God and remains in His presence, focused on pure love and justice. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”Isaiah 6:1-3HEAD TO HEART: If seraphim — created to dwell in God's presence — respond to His holiness by covering their faces and humbling themselves, what does that teach us about how we approach Him? Do we come casually, or in awe? Do we remember that the God we walk with daily is the same God whose glory is too bright even for angels to behold? And yet — this same God invites us near, not to hide from Him in fear, but to walk with Him, to know Him, and to be transformed over time in His presence.SONG: Worthy of Every Song We Could Ever Sing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh86R7_w1_8&list=RDxh86R7_w1_8&start_radio=1
