The 30 podcast with ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz
Sunday, 25 August, 2019
In this episode, Jas is joined by ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz. To start things off, they discuss the Lakers bringing back Dwight Howard, six years after he bolted L.A. for Houston. Kevin and Jas get into how he can best fit in with this team and the impact of playing with LeBron and Anthony Davis will have on his mindset. The guys also talk about why he has struggled to find a home in the NBA over the last few seasons and the maturity issues that have plagued him. They then do a deep dive on what would be considered a successful season for Howard in Los Angeles. Following that, Kevin and Jas take some listener questions, including if Davis can win MVP and defensive MVP, plus how big of a role will Kyle Kuzma play for the Lakers this upcoming season. They look at the importance of Kuzma without Boogie Cousins and what the Lakers need from him in order to make a run at a championship. To wrap things up, Kevin and Jas share their thoughts on Andrew Luck being booed after word came out that he is retiring, and Kevin gives his opinion if the Lakers are a championship team.
