ADAM AND EVE'S FALL IN THE GARDEN

Dr. McIntire introduces Dr. Allan A. MacRae who delivers the sermon. Dr. MacRae covers the third chapter of Genesis which reveals the origin of sin, suffering, and moral disorder in the world, explaining why a good creation contains such profound evil. Through the fall of Adam and Eve, humanity forfeited its original dominion, introduced spiritual and physical death, and incurred God's just curse upon creation, resulting in toil, hardship, and the presence of sin in every person. Yet even in judgment, God reveals His redemptive plan: the promise of a coming Savior who would bruise Satan's head while enduring the wound of the heel—a prophecy fulfilled in Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross. This divine mercy provides justification for all who believe, freeing them from eternal condemnation and initiating a lifelong process of sanctification, while calling believers to recognize their shared sinfulness, reject excuses, and faithfully point others to Christ as the only solution to humanity's broken condition.
