Author: Leonard C Smit Production: Create Content Cape Town __________________________ ABOUT __________________________ In a not too distant future, Earth has exhausted all fossil fuels. Cosmologists, however, have sourced an abundant source of energy in the form of a black crystal on a dark planet (Xzen-13) in our Milky Way, situated along the outer ring of our Galaxy. Hyperdrive is possible on board colossal spaceships, and one such cargo vessel, the ORION, has collected the crystal from the mining station on Xzen-13, but loses communication with Earth just outside the planet’s atmosphere. A recon vessel—URIEL 1— with a team of specifically selected astronauts, are sent to investigate and recover both the ship and the crystal. The team arrives at their destination to find what seems to be a ghost vessel adrift in space, with only marginal back-up power remaining. An investigation begins, with Captain Novak taking the lead. They slowly start discovering what the source of the mystery is, as they explore the vessel. We soon find out that Novak’s crew is at high risk, with him now having to protect the lives of his comrades at all cost, as well as return the crystal to save humanity from the brink of extinction. __________________________ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? __________________________ What's the fate of the crew of URIEL 1?
