🏀 Chance Harman Classic | Floyd County High School 🏀 This week on the District 2 Sports Podcast, we are proud to highlight one of the most meaningful events on Virginia’s high school basketball calendar—the Chance Harman Classic, alongside Floyd County Head Boys Basketball Coach Brian Harman. The Chance Harman Classic is about far more than basketball. It is a community-driven event created to honor Chance Harman and to bring people together around a powerful cause. Each year, the Classic combines high-level competition with purpose, community support, and a weekend that truly reflects what makes Floyd County special. This is an event we’ve had the privilege of attending several times, and it continues to stand out for its organization, atmosphere, and the genuine care shown by everyone involved. We’ve enjoyed our time at the Classic in the past, and we’ll be back in attendance once again this weekend. 📍 Floyd County High School 📅 Friday & Saturday 💵 Just $10 per day for a full slate of championship-level basketball 🔥 District 2 Sports Super 12 teams in the field: • Cave Spring • Nelson County • E.C. Glass • Liberty Christian Academy 🏆 Additional elite programs featured: • Spotswood High School – Class 3 State Champions • Graham High School – Class 2 State Runner-Up • North Cross – NIT Champions • Miller School – VISAA State Champions • Blue Ridge School – Nationally recognized private program 🎉 Event highlights: • 3-Point & Dunk Contest – Friday night • BBQ on Saturday • 50/50 raffle throughout the weekend • Non-stop games featuring top-tier programs Beyond the gym, this weekend is a chance to enjoy everything the town of Floyd has to offer. Make time to visit the iconic Floyd Country Store, take in the scenery along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and experience one of the most unique small-town atmospheres in the Commonwealth.
