Welcome to Katana-Ra, a universe blending cyberpunk and the ancient Japanese world where society is split by differences over futuristic tech and traditional beliefs. Samurai, hackers, aliens, demons, mutants, magic, all of these and more can be found in the the neon streets, beautiful forests and atomic wastelands that make up the Katana-Ra islands.Our story starts not with a grand quest or lofty destiny but a debt and a job that seemed too good to be true. When desperation convinces a nexus jacker to ignore the red flags she sees and take a contract that pays more than she needs to clear her debt for less than a few hours of work...well, things predictably take a turn for the deadly.
