Killarney and Tralee both make useful bases for exploring southwest Ireland, but just how far can you reasonably travel on a day trip? We'll also look north toward Adare, Lough Gur, Ballybunion and Foynes. And what about those day trips from Killarney to the Cliffs of Moher? They can be done, but possible doesn't always mean recommended. We'll also look at why I love staying in Dingle, but don't necessarily recommend using it as a base for multiple day trips around southwest Ireland.
