Jesus, Greater than the Angels (Part 2)
Sunday, 27 September, 2026
God’s Final Word: The Supremacy of His SonJesus, Greater than the AngelsHebrews 1:4-14Throughout history, people have looked to creation for guidance and meaning. Astrologers search the skies for direction in the stars, biologists study the intricacies of living creatures to understand the mysteries of life, and philosophers look to nature for patterns that explain human purpose. Creation is full of wonder, but Hebrews reminds us that there is something greater. In chapter 1, the author directs us beyond the beauty of the created world to the unmatched supremacy of Jesus. Even the heavenly, awe-inspiring angels are described simply as servants used by God for His purposes. Conversely, Jesus is highlighted as the eternal, just, Creator whose throne will outlast the heavens themselves. Even now, he is seated at the Father’s right hand, subduing every enemy until creation is rightfully restored. Join us this Sunday as we encounter the majesty of Jesus’ eternal and just reign and respond with the worship He alone deserves.
