Her traditional name is Coolcanee meaning sunflower in Goreng Goreng. Shaney Lee Jarrett, a Wabunja, Gumbaynggirr, Wodi Wodi, Goreng Goreng woman with strong ties to Wadja Wadja people in Central QLD. Shaney joined the podcast today to share her story of childbirth and trauma, what it means as a Blak woman giving birth in today's hospitals and how that trauma still lingers.
