Is soccer fun? It should be fun for your child and you! In fact it can be relaxing for you if you too! Cheering is one of those things that in Ruben's family they do as a reaction, not a command. "Shoot!" That is a command. Do you find it fun when you have commands hurled at you? Most of us don't. So we we can keep cheering to a response, such as "great pass," "nice shot." It happens after the fact and doesn't add in pressure for a decision to be made. If you child continues to have fun, it gives them a foundation from which to fail and still press on.
