Episode 82
Thursday, 25 March, 2021

Our Top Ten Most Anticipated Book to Screen Adaptations: [00:44] A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness (SkyTV)--Season 2 released 1/9/2021, with Season 3 expected early 2022. Check out the teaser trailer below: [1:00] Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan (Disney+)--We don't have much by way of trailers or info, really. Riordan revealed Season 1 is expected by 2022, and Disney+ recently released the logo: [2:34] There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins (Netflix)--was slated to hit screens in February 2021; no details of when it will release, and there's no official (or unofficial) trailer. [3:45] Shadow and Bone (Grisha Trilogy, Six of Crows Duology) by Leigh Bardugo (Netflix)--coming 4/23/2021! Check out the trailer, which we shared our blind reactions to in our last episode at [58:48]. [4:04] The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (Hulu)--series should be coming in 2021; no other details available at this time, including the trailer. 😥 [4:13] Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han (Netflix)--released 2/12/2021. Plus The Summer I Turned Pretty will be a series on Amazon, with Jenny Han as executive producer and writer of the pilot episode! PS. Watching this trailer still gives us alllll the goosies. #PeterKforever [7:23] The Witches by Roald Dahl (in Theaters)--released in October 2020 with Anne Hathaway taking over the role of the Grand High Witch. Also starring Stanley Tucci, Octavia Spencer, and Jahzir Bruno as Hero Boy. [9:00] The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski (Netflix)--expected 2021. We couldn't find the official teaser trailer, but here's one of our favorite youTubers breaking it down: [9:54] Fate: The Winx Saga (Netflix)--Season 1 released in January 2021; Season 2 has been greenlit. We actually found out after recording that this series is based on an animated show, but has since been adapted to books, too. 🤷 [11:17] Fatherhood (Two Kisses for Maddy) by Matt Logelin (in Theaters)--releases 6/18/2021 (we gave the wrong premiere date in the episode), stars Kevin Hart; no trailer available at this time.
