David Wilcock & the Cost of Truth
Tuesday, 19 May, 2026
A few weeks ago, the internet was buzzing over the passing of David Wilcock. As the news broke, conspiracy theories and podcasts flourished citing “deep state” narratives and whistleblower assassinations. “He got too close to the truth.” “They got him…” “I bet this is tied to those missing scientists and disclosure…” The comments continued endlessly, with theories, ideas, and possible connections claiming to “know the truth” about what happened to David. Then came the letter from his family. It is somber, raw, and humbling, detailing the life of a beautifully brilliant but troubled mind. They reflected on David as a man filled with wonder and curiosity — a seeker of truth — but also a man struggling with untreated depression. In that letter, I saw aspects of myself. I saw my excitement and joy over the search for truth coupled with the fear, anxiety, and depression that the weight of such information can sometimes bring. In this podcast, I reflect on the challenges of mental health and how it can impact those searching for answers, enlightenment, or spiritual growth in a world facing so many challenges. I share experiences from my time as a police officer and the high-stakes call involving a 12-year-old boy that changed the course of my life. I also reflect on how immersion in crisis response — whether through police work or constantly consuming darker conspiracies and narratives — can cause us to view the world through a traumatic lens, always expecting danger and searching for what is wrong. In doing so, we may lose sight of the beauty and goodness that still exists all around us. I also discuss a recent statement from remote viewer Birdie regarding changes in her approach to teaching consciousness and spirituality, with a focus on healing, openness, and accessibility for all seekers. Searching for truth is a noble and beautiful thing. It can bring purpose, joy, empowerment, and meaning to our lives. But at times, truth can also be unpleasant, jarring, paradigm-shifting, and traumatic. It can bring us into darkness — or blind us from the light that continues to shine, even when our focus is elsewhere. Please take some time for yourselves. Unplug. Reflect. Find and DO what makes you happy. There is still good in this world, but it is often difficult to see when hidden behind the noise of narratives focused only on fear, outrage, and what is wrong. Slow down. Together, I believe we can find our way.
