On the Friday before the Easter Holiday Weekend, I video called a peer professional, Dr. Bradford Wiles. From the remote workstations in our homes, with kids and pet noises and needs in the background, we talked about practical strategies to overcome this lifestyle so many are in the depths of by default. Yet, as we reflected upon our own experiences in relation to practical, proven tools which support youth development and building strong families, we kept coming back to the importance of forgiveness, honesty and mindfulness.
