Silent Cancer is an ambitious and entertaining flagship discussion series about a type of cancer that was once rare but not anymorea type of cancer caused by the HPV virus. About 14 million Americans are infected with HPV every year, and it now accounts for more cases of throat, tonsil, and back of the tongue cancer in men than smoking and alcohol. While these head and neck cancers have reached epidemic proportions, treatment has significantly improved, with 90% of patients diagnosed with HPV-related cancer surviving. Episodes will feature conversations with celebrities, influencers, journalists, patient leaders, and public health officials to inspire and engender citizen activism for health policy reform.
