In today’s episode of Tech Talk, I will be addressing the technology gap between non-disabled and disabled adults. This Episode will focus on four main barriers for those individuals with disabilities when it comes to technology. 1) gaining access to technology & monthly internet cost, 2) The confidence in the ability to use technology, 3) motor differences, & 4) a lack of technology education. Technology is such an important tool in life and if we don’t bridge the gap, those living with a disability will become even more isolated than they already are. At the conclusion of this episode, you will not only be able to identify specific barriers, but see the importance of this topic in the field of disabilities.
