Sensitivity Is Not Weakness: A Love Note for the Ones Who Feel Everything
Episode 1
Monday, 11 May, 2026
What if my sensitivity was never the thing that made me weak, but the very thing that proved how strong I actually am?This is my first podcast episode in a long time, and honestly, I didn’t sit down to record a polished episode. I started by speaking some thoughts out loud, trying to make sense of what I’d been feeling. But the more I spoke, the more I realised that this needed to be shared.Over the last few weeks, it has become really clear to me why I’ve had the experiences I’ve had, why I’ve felt things so deeply, and why I now feel called to create a space for people like me — the sensitive ones, the deep feelers, the empaths, the neurodivergent women, the ADHD minds, and anyone who has ever felt bruised by the world. In this episode, I talk openly about rejection sensitivity, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, ADHD, shame, self-preservation, and that horrible feeling that you’re not wanted, not good enough, or somehow too much.I share what it feels like to retreat from the world because it doesn’t feel safe. To hide at home. To avoid messages because you’ve left it too long. To block people, not because you dislike them, but because your nervous system can’t cope with the feeling of rejection. To walk away from opportunities, friendships, visibility and life because somewhere deep down, you’ve convinced yourself you don’t belong. But this isn’t a podcast about being weak. It’s a love note to the ones who feel everything.Because I’m starting to realise that sensitivity isn’t the problem. The problem is that so many of us have been trying to survive alone in a world that often feels too harsh, too loud, too careless, and too quick to tell us we need to toughen up.I don’t believe we need to become less sensitive.I believe we need to become stronger together. This episode is the beginning of a new conversation. A gathering point for sensitive souls who are tired of hiding, tired of feeling alone, and tired of watching life pass by from the safety of their own four walls. If you have ever been told you are “too sensitive,” if you feel everything deeply, if rejection hits you harder than you can explain, or if you know you are here for more but your nervous system keeps pulling you back into self-protection, this episode is for you.In this episode, I talk about:why sensitive people often retreat from the worldwhat rejection sensitivity can feel like from the insidethe link between ADHD, anxiety, overwhelm and self-preservationwhy so many of us carry shame around being “too much”how sensitivity can hold us back, even when it is also our giftwhy we need safe spaces, honest conversations and communitywhy the world needs deep feelers now more than everand why we were never meant to do this aloneIf you are feeling rejected, overwhelmed, anxious, bruised, invisible, or like you don’t quite belong, I hope this episode reminds you that you are not alone. You are not too much. You are not weak. You are one of the sensitive ones — and there is a strength in that which the world desperately needs.
