Can what you believe actually hurt you? In Titus 1, Paul uses unusually strong language about false teachers because the stakes are higher than winning an argument. Bad teaching can confuse people, distort the gospel, divide the church, and produce unhealthy lives. That is why Paul tells Titus to teach what “accords with sound doctrine.” In this message, Steve Huber explores the difference between healthy and unhealthy Christian teaching, why grace cannot be separated from life change, and why speaking the truth in love is actually an act of love. The gospel begins with grace. We do not change ourselves in order to earn God’s acceptance.
