Ultimately, people often lose attraction for their partners because of frequent exposure to images and videos of the opposite sex via social media. As humans, we are inclined to compare and either consciously or subconsciously determine how our partners measure up to the standard. Some may argue that a “new normal” has been created, suggesting that media is reshaping the ideals of beauty in today’s society.
