Food waste has always been quite a problem in a lot of restaurants and cafes around our community. Due to overpreparation and cancelled customer orders, a lot of good food ends up in the bin especially at the end of the day when the business is about the close, and most of us don’t see this. Binning food can sound so easy, but it is not just about wasting edible food, but it actually produces methane when they go into landfill, which we commonly have known as a type of greenhouse gas. So, environmentally speaking, food waste really is an alarming problem. Is there a solution to this problem? I guess Y Waste might have an answer.
