Julien H Mulder - Delta City EP [NWR012] “I think it’s time we gave something back.” (The Old Man, RoboCop, 1987) This quote represents The Old Man’s vision of the future, Delta City: a shining, modern new city that would replace the old Detroit, a poor and with crime filled city This futuristicc setting of Detroit, taken from the legendary movie RoboCop, inspired Julien H Mulder from a young age and played a huge role in his life as a music producer and movie fanatic. For him, in this negative futuristic representation of the cradle of techno lies beauty underneath and a lot of space for creativity, as in real life. Mulder took it from this point to produce a boundless four track EP, where beauty has to be seen in the dirt and rawness of the crime-infested sprawl that represents Detroit in the RoboCop trilogy. Be prepared for honest, true and highly personal compositions where exploring and experimenting with different sounds play the main roles.
