Praise In The Pressure
Sunday, 22 March, 2026
In a world suffocating under pressure, we discover an ancient weapon that still breaks chains today: praise. This message by Pastor Matt Cottrill on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 confronts our modern reality head-on, acknowledging the crushing weight of anxiety, endless digital distractions, and global instability that characterizes our generation. Yet it reveals a profound truth from 2 Chronicles 20:22, where Israel's battle shifted not after victory, but the moment praise began. We learn that praise is not merely a reaction to blessing, but a declaration of faith before breakthrough arrives. The powerful imagery of a man trapped under earthquake rubble, too weak to shout but persistent enough to tap with one hand, illustrates that even our smallest expressions of praise reach heaven when offered consistently. This message challenges us to examine what we reach for first each morning, exposing how we've been trained to feed constantly on the temporal while starving spiritually from the eternal. The call is clear: praise is not about our feelings or circumstances, but about who we serve. When we praise from a place of pressure rather than waiting for comfort, we create a dwelling place for God's presence where darkness cannot dominate, anxiety loses its strength, and strongholds crumble. Our praise confuses the enemy because it defies natural logic, and when expressed corporately as a unified body, something even greater shifts in the spiritual realm.
