Pentecost marks the birth of the Church when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, enabling them to speak in languages they never learned. Peter explained this miracle to the crowd, connecting it to Joel's prophecy about God pouring out His Spirit. About 3,000 people were baptized that day, joining the first Christian community. Today, the Holy Spirit continues to guide believers toward their calling, often working through community and wise counsel. Our mission remains the same: to make disciples and transform the world through our unique gifts, working together as the inclusive body of Christ.
