Hanson Oak's - The Recalling (An Immersive Horror Podcast)

Author: Hanson Oak

The Recalling is a patchwork of untrustworthy memories. The story of my life is not linear. Instead, it comes to me in a series of horrific flashes and cherished moments and if I'm to tell my story honestly, I will have to share both. The stories feature creatures that may be recognizable but most you've never seen or heard of. The tales unravel in places that may seem familiar and locations that can be found on no map and suffer no names. Some memories will be disturbing, others may be wondrous, yet all will be dark as light is not a place I've spent much time in.Before we begin, I must ask you to be careful. My memories may become your nightmares and my experiences may prove your cautionary tales - but that will only serve to bring us closer together as parts of this podcast are quite interactive. If you enjoy the podcast, please rate, subscribe, and leave a review to help others find it.Presented in immersive 3D audio - Headphones and discretion are advised. If the mood should strike you, I encourage you to reach out to me via social media:Mastodon: @HansonOakThreads: @Hanson_Oakwww.HansonOak.com

S. 1 Ep. 14 Christmas Mourning (A Horror Podcast) Holiday Special Event
Tuesday, 19 December, 2023

Send us a textThe podcast has come full circle. Almost a year ago, I began it by telling a story called "Coffins for Christmas" that has since become the most popular and shared episode of the season. That, along with all those that followed, have been downloaded thousands of times in over a dozen countries. To say I'm surprised at this success would be an understatement as the moment I put that holiday episode out into the world, I thought, "Who will want to hear the tales of my strange life?"So as we move into season two, I thought it only fitting to end where it began, telling the story of Christmas in a way you have not experienced. In this one, we look into the past to the blood that began one of its most cherished traditions. But this is not my story.During my intermission episodes that answered listener questions, I would often go into my library for those answers. This collection I've built over the years has rare books and journals, many the only that exist, and contain facts, descriptions, and events of a most macabre and terrifying nature. The feed back was unmistakable, you've all enjoyed this glimpse into my private collection. So that is where I dipped into once more for the topic of this episode, to read an account both terrifying and telling, I hope when you look at common decorations after listening, you see them in a different, and darker way.Episodes are created using 3D Audio.Discretion and Headphones are advised.LISTEN / SUBSCRIBE TO THE PODCAST:Spotify: http://bit.ly/3J1XZ3wiHeart Radio: http://bit.ly/3XKsVcPApple: http://bit.ly/3IWBTiLAmazon Music:http://bit.ly/3Xlv0MhGoogle Podcasts: http://bit.ly/3WWAQD7 WEBSITE:http://www.hansonoak.comCONTACT ME: HansonOakStories@gmail.comTHREADS: @Hanson_OakMASTADON: @HansonOakBluesky: @HansonOak.bsky.social#HansonOak  #HansonOakPodcast
