Understanding Election Security and Voter Suppression: A Conversation with Emily Levy

Since 2016, election security has been a major political issue, specifically regarding foreign interference in our elections. But our elections have not been secure for years, and the flaws in our election security have nothing to do with foreign actors. This week, I had the opportunity to speak with Emily Levy, a lifelong activist who is a recognized leader in the election security movement. She has done work on election security in 9 states, specializing in helping people understand complex election technology issues. In January of 2020, she founded Scrutineers.org, an organization for those that want to fight for fair and secure elections. We spoke about all these issues, and some more.
