The Art of Business Growth  in COVID – 19 Era Brief Intro : Hello, I am Md Israr Alam , CEO & Founder of Carney Technologies, it is 10 years young Creative Digital marketing agency and it gives me a great pleasure to start our series of talks with Industry leaders around Growth Stratgeies in these difficult times Today we have with us a very special guest , Mitul Das, CEO & Co-Founder of UrsDigitally, a Digital Transformation Agency and together we are going to discuss how various industries are transforming in this COVID era A: Hello , Good Afternoon Mitul , B: Hello, thanks for the lovely introduction and  privileged to share my experiences A: Thanks for your time Mitul. Please let me know what do you think about marketing amidst COVID-19? B: This isn’t the first time, I witnessed a somewhat similar situation in mid 2000s , however that was a man-made one and the reason behind this one is still debatable. The world seems to be adjusting to a ‘New Normal’ and as far as Marketing goes we are seeing an emergence of ‘Smart Marketing’ or ‘Opportunity Driven Marketing’ where almost all the brands today are trying to find the least obtrusive path to reach their end consumers and offer them services/ products aligned to the new norms and protocols A: True,. Please let us know how badly the manufacturing world is affected B: Words fail me when I start describing the damage to manufacturing sector which is a backbone of any economy. We have  three major ones in this sector and believe me they are having a tough time trying to manage work force , drop in demand , compliances et all A: Exactly, just think about them , do you think Marketing or Digital Marketing is of any help at this stage ? B:At this stage I believe Digital Mindset can and will make a huge difference both of intrinsic and extrinsic processes. For example we are helping one of the Manugfacturing leaders with a Product Enablement campaign where we are using Social Tools to disseminate Product Knoweldge to their core sales team using gamification. Similaryly we are also helping another manufacturing / trade driven organization to create quick Digital Touch points for their end consumers so that they can have a deamless delivery channel even in these times B: What about Hospitality Mitul, what do you think is happening there ? A:  Again Hospitality is seeing a huge shift and the work Luxury is getting replaced by Sanitization We are working with some of the boutique hospitaility chains and almost every day we see an advisory coming in from the industry body related to Social Distancing , Sanitization etc. A: How do you think Digital can aid this vertical as of now ? B: I believe time for a shift in the marketing campaigns where we need to showcase more of DIY and Zero Contact Hospitality so that people can feel safe Adoption of Digital Menucard , QR based property navigation , Zero contact check-in/checkout process are some of the areas which can really make an impact at this stage A: Making it more contextual, I feel that’s the keyword. Just like the businesses are revisting their sales models and trying to make them online , it is time to reboot digital in manufacturing and Hospitality . Looking at the brighter side E-Learning is the new normal and maybe very soon our offsprings will flaunt certificates on Strategic Thinking, App Development, Game Development, Digital Marketing and other contextual courses.
