Under the BayAuthor: Lisa Moren
Written and narrated by Lisa Moren with music composed by Dan Deacon, the Chesapeake Bay is described in both enlightenment and medieval terms. The narrator weaves personal observation with scientific knowledge to unpack recent political events and argues for a broad perspective on diversity. The reader imagines the planet as an ensouled body soaked in a wet film that inhales and exhales like a living organism. Meandering stories reminisce on similar patterns in cryonics, meditation, the origins of the Internet, protests, US elections, and algae blooms all describing a world out of balance. This podcast is an audio version of the AR project Under the Bay, in collaboration with marine biologist Tsvetan Bachvaroff. Voiceover engineering is by Woody Lissauer.
