The host of this show is Sasha Alcott, the guitar player and singer of When Particles Collide, a rock duo from Maine. Each month she sits down to talk in depth with a musician, photographer, designer, engineer, booker, club owner, or other individual who works to create, support and promote independent music. The conversations explore the vibrant and vast networks of music being made and celebrated in big cities and small towns all over the map that operate outside of the major label music business. Jake Gordin is the guitar player and principal singer in KGL, or King’s German Legion, a rock band from Tuscaloosa Alabama. Active since 2017, KGL has garnered a fiercely loyal, and exuberant fan base over their three years as a band which is evident at their live shows, which are always raucous, loud, fun, and full of sing-alongs and dramatic dynamics.
