James 4:6-7a, 106 And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. 2 Samuel 11:22 Late one afternoon, after his midday rest, David got out of bed and was walking on the roof of the palace. As he looked out over the city, he noticed a woman of unusual beauty taking a bath. Daniel 3:17-18 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us.
