S8 Ep53: The visual politics of Brexit
Episode 53
Friday, 24 October, 2025

A decade ago, the UK voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. It was the culmination of years of partisan arguments over membership. Wanyu Chung of University of Birmingham and CEPR was one of a team of researchers that used artificial intelligence to estimate the emotional impact of news images of politicians before and after the Brexit vote.
