Philanthrocrat is a user group for Philanthropy, Social Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility Established in 2006 by Lawrence Jackson to promote individual and corporate philanthropic giving in Australia, this forum has been conceived as an opportunity for people involved in philanthropy, social marketing and corporate social responsibility to meet every month or two to share techniques, ideas and benchmarks from contemporary campaigns and projects and to hear from leaders in our sector whose insights would be of high interest to members of this forum. Events typically feature Australian case studies in philanthropy, fundraising and corporate social responsibility. Hosted by sponsoring corporations and third sector organisations. The format includes a guest speaker plus general discussion all held under the Chatham House Rule. The forum provides an independent environment for Philanthropists, Not for Profit sector leaders and Corporate Social Responsibility professionals to be exposed to “best in field practice” and experience to be discussed and shared in a safe and collegiate environment.
