We cross the pond, took an Uber and ended up at the Arena in Berlin for an afternoon SmackDown. First, 3 hours is too long. We started this show when it was still daylight out. That was nice. SmackDown is officially in chaos, as Nick Aldis announced a loaded No. 1 contender tournament with Orton, Miz, Trick Williams, Damian Priest, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn, and Ilja Dragunov. Giulia’s Women’s U.S. Title reign comes with an asterisk, as Lash Legend shoved Alexa Bliss off the top rope to hand her the win. Jordynne Grace got her SmackDown welcome… and her warning. She beat Alba Fyre, then Jade Cargill stepped in to remind everyone who believes this is “her show.” The Wyatt Sicks lost thanks to distraction nonsense, as Solo Sikoa grabbing the Wyatt lantern allowed Tama Tonga to pin Uncle Howdy. Carmelo Hayes survived Shinsuke Nakamura, gutting through a targeted leg attack to retain the U.S. Title—then shook hands like a fighting champion. Johnny Gargano went full snake mode, attacking Nathan Frazer backstage while wearing an Axiom mask. Drew McIntyre is WWE Champion… and nobody’s buying it. McIntyre escaped the cage to win 2–1 over Cody Rhodes after Jacob Fatu shockingly interfered, turning the main event into a robbery.
