The ongoing conflict has driven global oil prices surging past $100 per barrel for the first time in years, disrupting supplies through the Strait of Hormuz and causing sharp rises in U.S. gas prices, which Trump dismissed as a short-term and small price to pay for eliminating Iran's nuclear threat.
