With a peace deal in the Middle East, we saw markets rise and optimism return. The big question now is: will the ceasefire last? David's view is cautious. While the short-term reaction has been positive—with oil prices falling and markets rebounding—there's still uncertainty about how long this stability will hold. Why the Strait of Hormuz Matters A key issue remains the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most critical oil transit routes in the world. Keeping it open is essential for: Stable energy prices Reliable global trade Continued economic growth At the same time, there's increasing importance in developing alternative routes, such as pipelines, to reduce dependence on any single chokepoint. Inflation Update The latest inflation report came in weaker than expected. There was a temporary—or "transitory"—increase tied to the recent conflict. These kinds of bumps are something investors need to be prepared for during periods of geopolitical tension.
