#34 Kunst als Stimme im öffentlichen Raum – mit AliPaloma

In Folge 34 treffen wir Alexandra Paloma Angerer alias AliPaloma. Die junge Südtirolerin studierte zunächst Architektur und ist heute als freischaffende Multimedia-Künstlerin in Bozen zu Hause. Das Gespräch thematisiert Kunst im öffentlichen Raum – als Gestaltungselement sowie als Sprachrohr für sozialkritische Themen und zur Sensibilisierung für Achtsamkeit. Wie kann öffentlicher Raum zur Begegnungszone für die breite Bevölkerung werden? Welche Wirkungsmöglichkeiten hat man als Kunst- und Kulturschaffende? Und warum hat Sichtbarkeit immer auch damit zu tun, ob man sich mögliche Konsequenzen leisten kann? AliPaloma erzählt über ihre interdisziplinäre Arbeit am Beispiel einer aktuellen räumlichen Installation: des Museums-Satelliten beim Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck. Auch teilt sie ihre Beobachtung, dass sich in der jungen Generation der Gestaltenden ein Wandel hin zu prozessorientiertem und kollektivem Arbeiten zeigt. Dabei werde Architektur als Fürsorge verstanden. Wir sprechen weiter über die Bedeutung von öffentlichem Raum als Gemeingut, was ungleiche Machtverteilung auslöst, von konsumfreien Zonen und auch darüber, wie Licht in einer Stadt soziale und politische Dimension erreicht. In episode 34, we meet Alexandra Paloma Angerer, also known as AliPaloma. After initially studying architecture, the young South Tyrolean works as a freelance multimedia artist in the Italian city of Bolzano today. The conversation addresses art in public spaces – as a design element as well as a mouthpiece for socially critical topics and for raising awareness of mindfulness. How can public spaces become a meeting place for the general public? What possibilities do artists and cultural professionals have to make an impact? And why does visibility also always have something to do with whether one can afford potential consequences? AliPaloma talks about her interdisciplinary work using the example of a current spatial installation: the Museum Satellite at the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck. She also shares her observation that a transformation towards process-oriented and collective working can be seen among the young generation of designers. In doing so, they understand architecture as care. We also talk about the importance of public space as a public domain, about what causes unequal distribution of power, about consumption-free zones and how light takes on social and political dimensions in a city.
