Feeding Hope: Addressing Senior Hunger in Ohio

Did you know more than 40% of the households served by Mid-Ohio Food Collective are home to a senior? That’s why this spring, MOFC is shining a light on senior hunger in our communities. MOFC’s Senior Hunger Programs Manager Charity Eilerman and Director of the Franklin County Office on Aging, Chanda Wingo, join host Scott Light for a thoughtful discussion on the challenges facing many seniors and insights into proactive measures to address these issues.Correction Note: During the discussion at approximately 5:42, the Director of the Franklin County Office on Aging, Chanda Wingo, misspoke regarding the number of free home-delivered meals provided. To clarify, in 2022, the Office on Aging delivered 1.2 million meals. The number significantly increased in 2023, with a remarkable 2.1 million free home-delivered meals provided to our community seniors.”
