Respect the Shooter EPISODE 2 Season 1 : Jason Halayko

Jason was born and raised in Canada but has called Japan his home for almost twenty years now. Having shot action sports here in Japan since the early 2000s, He has shot a plethora of different sports and athletes over the years. He absolutely loves the individuality of action sports, and how each athlete is unique in their style and flavor, even when performing the simplest of tricks. He also loves how so many action sports athletes here in Japan, and around the world, push themselves so hard for the love of their sport. He feels that over the years, the passion of the athletes has rubbed off on him and his photography, hopefully making me a unique photographer with his own style and flavor that comes out in his final images. Even though he is now twice the age of most of his subjects, He can’t wait to get out into the streets for the next session and create something that both him as a photographer and the athlete are proud to share with the world. Japan in an amazing country, and he looks forward to continue to push his photographic limits while exposing the rest of the world to the amazing athletic talent here that is just waiting to explode on the international scenes.
