Does Call of Duty Need to Take a Year Off? | The COD Casuals Ep. 291

Welcome to episode #291 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!In this episode, we start off with some stories regarding old games that we now revisit, and the time capsule that they have ended up becoming. With these old games there’s typically issues with the discs themselves, and we share some stories and thoughts on this, as it relates to the ongoing physical media discussion with Xbox and Sony. Xbox has developed a decent workaround in response to the backlash from Sony, and the question still remains; will Sony budge on their stance? We then shift to talks regarding Call of Duty, and the issue of fatigue with the series and potential solutions. With many content creators writing off MW4 before launch, it begs the question if COD is in need of a major change, and what does that exactly look like. Do they take a year off? Do they completely change the style of the game? We give our thoughts on what their next moves should be, and close out on covering our BO7 zombies journey. We are slowly working through the storyline, and give our thoughts on the experience so far. What do you think of Xbox’s response regarding discs?
