He also discusses how India, especially Independent Indian governments have viewed alcohol as something to either be banned, or taxed heavily and controlled in every aspect. He discusses the creation of IMFLs or “Indian Made Foreign Liquors” and how it is only over the last 10-15 years that Indian companies are moving beyond this to make high quality alcoholic beverages and liquors for both Indians and the world.
