Dr. Pusztai is a public health professional with over two decades of experience working for WHO at country level as WHO representative in various duty stations. She has been leading WHO Country Office in the Czech Republic since 2023. Over the years, Dr. Pusztai gained substantial expertise in advising on multisectoral policies and actions, coordinating, strategizing, and analyzing complex health policies, developing national health plans and public health policies.Having worked in sensitive political environments with wide range of various partners and stakeholders, facilitating several high-level policy dialogues, working on interagency and cross- cutting initiatives she also learnt to overcome challenges, to anticipate risks and to solve problems. She leads WHO engagement in strategic partnership, to ensure collaboration is tailored to country needs and to help countries to realize their public health ambitions. She is a strong ambassador for health and firmly believes to support local initiatives, joint systemic thinking and cross-sectoral cooperation in improving the population’s health.Other: Has been a member of professional and civic organizations. Published articles in several journals as Journal of Public Health Journal, Health Economics Review, Journal of the Strategic Force for European Integration. Has been author of chapters and editor in several WHO publications.Education:Semmelweis University, Faculty of Medicine, medical and postgraduate degree, Budapest Corvinus University of Economic Sciences, postgraduate degree on international studies, Budapest Swiss Graduate Institute Geneva, Global Health Diplomacy certificate. Together we discuss public health, health policies and the way forward in the Czech republic.Dr. Pusztai je odbornicí ve veřejném zdravotnictví s více než dvacetiletou praxí ve Světové zdravotnické organizaci (WHO), kde působila jako zástupkyně WHO v několika zemích. Od roku 2023 vede kancelář WHO v ČR. Specializuje se na poradenství v oblasti zdravotní politiky, koordinaci a strategické řízení, rozvoj národních zdravotních plánů a podporu multisektorálních iniciativ. Má zkušenosti s prací v politickém prostředí, s vedením politických dialogů i rozvojem partnerství napříč sektory. Je silnou zastánkyní místních iniciativ a systémového přístupu ke zlepšování zdraví populace. Publikovala v řadě odborných časopisů a podílela se na kapitolách a editaci publikací WHO.
