Vision Solution for Shooters The group discussed a vision-related challenge faced by some students who have had corrective eye surgery, resulting in inconsistent shooting accuracy. Jarrad and the professor explored the concept of using an occluded eye gun sight, similar to the OEG technology used by Special Forces during the Vietnam War, to potentially help these students. They hypothesized that covering the red dot sight on a pistol and using both eyes could improve target acquisition for individuals with different vision prescriptions. The professor committed to testing this hypothesis using the scientific method, starting with background research and moving to testing and analysis, with the goal of developing a solution for handgun shooters with vision issues.
