In Hebrews 8, the writer explains why the New Covenant was necessary. Jesus is not merely another priest in the old system—He is our superior High Priest, ministering in the true heavenly sanctuary and mediating a better covenant established on better promises.The Mosaic covenant could expose sin and regulate Israel’s worship, but it could not bring final perfection or transform the human heart.
