Episode 55- AI Art, Xbox Hikes & Steam Scalpers
Episode 55
Saturday, 4 July, 2026

Burger and Bondo are back with a packed episode covering gaming nostalgia, industry news, AI art, and digital ownership. They kick things off with a look back at Pokémon Snap and how Pokémon spinoffs helped shape the franchise. Then they jump into this week's FAT segment, sharing the most expensive gaming purchases they regret. From there, the crew breaks down Xbox price hikes, the value of the Series S versus the Series X, and why the Nintendo Switch 2 may be the better buy for most players. They also react to new fighting game announcements from EVO, including Marvel Tokon, Tekken DLC, Fatal Fury, Avatar Legends, Virtua Fighter, Rivals of Aether 2, and BlazeBlue. The episode also dives into the wild Steam Machine scalping situation, digital-only games, GTA 6, physical media, and what ownership means in modern gaming. Finally, Burger and Bondo discuss AI in creative work, inspired by comments from Persona and Shin Megami Tensei artist Kazuma Kaneko.
