Trojans are prepping for the season during mock game week

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and Makena Arteaga are back in studio talking about USC getting ready for its week zero season opener against San Jose State during "mock game week" on Howard Jones Field. On Tuesday and Wednesday the Trojans held practices with early open periods our crew was able to attend then hearing from head coach Lincoln Riley and a handful of offensive and defensive players after practice. With the season just around the corner the gang talks about which players have been standing out and how they feel the most prominent position battles are going. They also discuss the overall health of the team, including the return of star receiver Tanook Hines after missing the first few weeks of fall camp. USC came in at No. 14 in the AP poll with five of its opponents in the top-25 including No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Oregon and No. 6 Indiana.
