The Washington Commanders have been eliminated from playoff contention and potentially lost their defensive captain and leader to a knee injury, and yet that likely won't be what this game is remembered for in the annals of NFL lore. In his post-game press conference, Head Coach Ron Rivera was, astoundingly, surprised to learn that the Commanders could be eliminated later that afternoon pending the result of the Green Bay-Minnesota Game. What?!
