If she doesn’t answer, the machine takes a message - klasická ukázka kondicionálu typu 0, ve kterém platí, že za jisté podmínky vždy nastává jistá skutečnost. (O Kate se dá všeobecně říct, že kdykoliv dostane email, tak na něj hned odpoví.) Podmínková souvětí 0 se zejména hodí, když mluvíme o pravidlech, vědeckých zákonitostech a zákonech (If you heat ice, it melts. If you freeze water, it turns to ice.) V obou větách souvětí je přítomný čas prostý (present simple). Podle potřeby se dá použít přítomný čas průběhový nebo minulý… Vocabulary: repair business - opravna straight away - okamžitě message - vzkaz na záznamníku if, when - kdykoliv, když melt - tát to turn to - změnit se v
