Immigration isn't just about immigrants — it's about the rest of us, too. In this episode, we sit down with Tom Bradshaw, a nationally recognized white-collar criminal defense attorney who spent decades on high-profile cases before turning his focus to something very different: helping people who might otherwise have no access to legal representation.Tom is the co-founder of the Neighborhood Justice Center in Kansas City, a nonprofit legal clinic connecting volunteer attorneys with individuals, including immigrants, who can't afford representation. He's also the son of Irish immigrants, giving him a personal window into the immigrant experience in America.We talk about his parents' journey and what it taught him, his path into law, why he chose community service over retirement, and what it really takes to build a justice system that shows up for everyone.
