As December speedily runs out of days we offer up a festive-readiness edition of our pod, that is light on festive readiness, but leaves hints that something big is looming just around the corner.Acutely aware of our respective obligations to contribute temporal and digital seasonal pronouncements, we prevaricate around topical news, trips, and island discoveries. This may or may not be our pre-Christmas episode, as frantic planning continues in our production office, so we sprinkle in a little festively fungible fun that can be taken to be seasonal, or not.From bananas slipping up folk on island beaches, to new adventures in breadmaking, and new professional bakery discoveries in Godshill, we take trips to Youlgrave, to Hackney, to Hampstead and home.If this is our last outing of the year, we are looking forward to our Christmastime with family and friends, and want to thank you all for listening to us throughout the year. If we squeeze out another amuse-bouche in advance of the festive season then you can be sure we’ll sprinkle it with our usual mix of topical chat, domestic updates, and island happenings.We’re delighted to report that we have some looming competition on the New Year horizon, as a new Isle of Wight podcast has just this week soft-launched their new output flying under the banner, Talk the Wight, a cool title, almost as cool as QWightLike A Podcast.
