Let me introduce you to the Ukrainian writer Valentina Oseeva and to present a fragment from her book "Vasyok Trubachov and His Friends.  A magic word, filled with humanism and love for her native country, for Ukraine, passionately proclaiming peace, understanding and brotherhood between people - that is what Valentina Oseeva's work is like. Words that are not part of the minimum vocabulary of the level C1 беспризорный homeless; бич whip; будка hut венок wreath; вскидывать / вскинуть toss; вышитый embroidered; задорный perky  cheerful  playful изумительный amazing, stupendous картуз cap with a viso (old word)r; клевер clover; корень - root крынка а tall clay vessel with a wide neck for milk; кувшинка water lily лакомиться treat oneself, eat something dainty, delicious лукошко a hand basket of linden bark or twigs; нагибаться / нагнуться bend down; оторачивать / оторочить trim at the edges with braid, cloth or fur; пересыпать pepper (one's speach); пригоршня handfuls; припоминать / припомнить remember, recover in memory; пучок bundle; приёмник here: reception centre; проповедовать proclaim; свешивать / свесить dangling (his head) силиться try; сливаться / слиться merge into; тесьма ribbon, braid;
